watched too much of ‘Met 4 in Bed’ and got a taste for hospitality….
The B&B opened in August 2016.
Starting with 1 room and a shared bathroom, we grew every year to where we are today. 4 rooms with private bathrooms and wellness facilities in the garden, featuring a bohemian corner where you can experience the sunset.
You can find us on booking.com, airbnb.com, and in Kaggevinne: a sub-municipality of Diest, in the province of Flemish Brabant, on the border with Limburg, Kempen, and Hageland.
The perfect location to discover three nearby provinces.
Diest itself has a wealth of heritage for you to discover, such as the Beguinage (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Citadel with its ramparts, the Chapel of All Saints, the Cloth Hall, the Ezeldijk Mill….
We are located just 3 km from the center of Diest and 3 km from the Scherpenheuvel Basilica. The pilgrimage site attracts nearly 1,000,000 visitors annually.
We have a very quiet location, making it ideal for those of you who are light sleepers.
There are nothing but green fields to be seen here, along with goats, pigs, horses, etc. Ideal for nature lovers and animal lovers.
Despite the very quiet location, we are also close to the motorway, as well as the Leuvensesteenweg, where many large retail chains and supermarkets are located.
We personally take care of your welcome and breakfast.
Social as we are, caring and concerned about the well-being of others, we promise you that we will do everything in our power to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
We love interacting with you, our guests!
We have four-legged friends and big two-legged creatures, which makes the atmosphere quite cordial and warm.

General information about the accommodation:
– Check-in is between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM, unless circumstances require an appointment.
– Check-out is possible until 11:00 AM.
– Breakfast can be enjoyed indoors or outdoors on the terrace, or as a takeaway. You choose your breakfast time!
– Possibility to order a tapas platter for €18/pp as well as a picnic package for €18/pp.
Allergy requirements are taken into account.
– Charging point and storage for your electric bicycles available.
– Electric bicycles for rent with helmet at €27/day/bike.
– Free parking right outside the door!
– There is a stocked outdoor bar (bohemian) with non-alcoholic drinks, alcoholic beverages, coffee & tea. (Heating elements available)
Out of respect for the neighbors, we ask for silence after 10:00 PM. Thank you for your understanding.
– Smoking is permitted outside, except in the wellness area, of course.
– Badminton, petanque, darts, and swings are available in the garden.
– Jacuzzi (€28/h), barrel tub sauna (€50/h), and barrel tub infrared (€30/h):This wellness area is located in our garden and is therefore not overlooked by the street. Bathrobes and slippers are provided in the room, as are towels.
You are required to bring swimwear. Showering is mandatory before use!
– Tourist tax €2/night/person, to be paid in cash on arrival please.
– Key to the front door available, as well as access to the side gate and your own room door.
– We have pets: cats, a bird, fish, and dogs.IT IS POSSIBLE TO BRING A DOG. UNATTENDED IN THE ROOM: ONLY IN A CRATE PLEASE. (€10/dog/night)
– Many cycling and walking routes available, as well as the necessary tips for ‘food & drinks’!

It takes just 10 minutes to reach the Grote Markt in Diest, where you’ll find a variety of places to eat.

Sight Seeing
With the town of Diest nearby, highlights include the Beguinage, the Citadel and the Cloth Hall. Scherpenheuvel is also just 3 km away, with the Basilica as its main attraction.
Walking and cycling routes
There are various walking and cycling routes here in the Hageland, with something to suit everyone. In spring, you can also admire the blossoms in the Hageland and Haspengouw, just a stone’s throw from our B&B.
Day Trips
A day trip could, for example, be a walk to Scherpenheuvel, but there are plenty of other options in the area. Averbode Abbey and Lekdreef, Halve Maan Provincial Park, canoeing on the Demer, picnicking by the old oak tree, geocaching, Schaffen Airfield, and Diest Citadel.

We were a bit worried beforehand about whether our medium-sized dog would be welcome, but right from the moment we arrived, the host was absolutely lovely!
Breakfast was absolutely delicious in the cosy living room.
It was no problem at all that our dog was allowed to join us at breakfast on a lead.
The host is a lovely lady who enjoys having a chat with guests and their dogs.
It was also reassuring to feel the trust she placed in us whilst she was out for a bit.
Other than that… it was a real treat…
Highly recommended if you want to visit Diest; just 3 km from the town and easily accessible by car.
It felt like a home away from home…

Our stay at the B&B was a great success.
We were given a very warm welcome by Carine and Erwin, who made sure we really felt at home.
A beautiful location, quietly situated within cycling distance of Diest.
A well-maintained, large garden where we could enjoy a drink from the nearby fridge in the evening.
We were treated to a 5-star breakfast featuring local produce and a delicious freshly baked or boiled egg.
The Mexico Room is beautifully decorated, with everything perfectly coordinated in style.
Diest is a very charming little town, offering culture, plenty of lovely restaurants and nice spots and parks.
An ideal base for lovely bike rides. We will recommend your B&B to our friends and acquaintances.

The perfect host. The room was clean and well suited for our own needs. Nothing was too much trouble and their attention to the smallest detail was perfect. The area was very quiet and close to the centre of Diest. Highly recommend.
A superb B&B – highly recommended. The owner is a lovely lady who always provides a truly five-star breakfast and is always there for her guests; you feel right at home straight away. The room and bathroom are spotless and equipped with every luxury, such as coffee and tea in the room, a good-sized fridge, and a beautiful bathroom with a walk-in shower. If you love peace and quiet, this is definitely the place for you. We’ll certainly be going back because the location is ideal for day trips.
